Creator Agreement

This Creator Agreement sets out the terms between you, as a creator, and ClipAd, operated by Clip Technologies. It supplements our Terms of Service and explains how you license your content, how you get paid, and the control you keep over your work.

This is a template for an early-stage product and not legal advice.

1. Our relationship

You are an independent creator, not an employee, agent, or partner of ClipAd or Clip Technologies. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, joint-venture, or franchise relationship. You decide what content to create and upload, and you are responsible for your own business, equipment, and obligations.

2. The license you grant

You retain full ownership of your content. To let us run the marketplace, you grant ClipAd a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to host, process, and analyze your uploaded video; detect scene breaks and create segments; and display, distribute, and deliver your content โ€” including the approved brand campaigns you accept โ€” for monetization. This license exists only so we can provide the service and ends, for new distribution, when you remove content or close your account, subject to campaigns already running.

3. Revenue share and fees

ClipAd operates on a transparent, capped cost-per-thousand-views (CPM) basis. For each placement โ€” that is, each time you feature a brand in your content for one campaign โ€” you earn GHโ‚ต60 for every 1,000 views the placement delivers, up to a per-placement cap set by your recent 30-day view tier. The rate is the same for every creator: there are no creator plans, no tiered creator rates, and no deductions from your share. The brand pays a higher per-1,000-views rate; you receive the creator share (about 70%) and ClipAd retains the remainder from the brand side.

Your view tier does not change the rate โ€” it sets the per-placement cap, the maximum number of views a single placement can bill:

  • Spark (1,000โ€“10,000 monthly views): a placement bills up to 10,000 views.
  • Rise (10,000โ€“50,000 monthly views): a placement bills up to 50,000 views.
  • Pro (50,000โ€“250,000 monthly views): a placement bills up to 250,000 views.
  • Elite (250,000+ monthly views): a placement bills against your measured views, with a high ceiling.

Your earning for a placement is settled from its measured views (capped as above) after it is published and verified. It is free to join, upload, and withdraw โ€” there are no fees charged to creators. ClipAd's fee is charged on the brand side only and never deducted from what you earn. Your earnings are visible on your dashboard.

You are eligible to start earning once your public profile shows at least 1,000 views in the last 30 days. There is no follower-count minimum.

4. Your approval rights

You stay in control of your content. Before any brand runs, you approve which segments are eligible to carry advertising, and you can decline specific brand campaigns or placements. Your rate is the same per-1,000-views CPM for every creator โ€” you don't set or negotiate it; your view tier only sets the per-placement cap โ€” and you publish a demo reel and choose which campaigns and collaboration requests to accept. We will not run advertising in segments you have not approved.

5. Payouts and currency

ClipAd operates in Ghana, with Nigeria and Kenya coming soon, and your earnings are in your market's local currency (Ghana Cedis, GHโ‚ต). We pay creators monthly via Mobile Money, subject to a GHโ‚ต50 minimum cash-out and successful identity verification. Funds from brand campaigns are pre-funded and held in escrow until the corresponding placements are served and verified, which protects your earnings. Additional payout methods and faster payouts may be added in the future.

6. Taxes

You are responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes due on your earnings in your jurisdiction. ClipAd may be required to collect tax information or withhold amounts where the law requires, and we will provide earnings records to help you meet your obligations.

7. Exclusivity

There is no exclusivity. You are free to publish your content on other platforms, work with brands directly, and use any other service alongside ClipAd. We earn your continued participation by being fair and useful, not by locking you in.

8. Termination and contact

You may stop using ClipAd and remove your content or close your account at any time, subject to honoring campaigns that are already live. We may suspend or end this agreement if you breach our Terms or Content & Community Policy. On termination, any verified earnings owed to you will be paid out through our standard process. Questions about this agreement can be sent through our contact page.
