How creator earnings work

Getting started3 min read

Earning on ClipAd is simple: every time you run a brand's ad in your content for a campaign, you earn for the views that placement delivers. There are no plans to choose, no subscription, and no fees taken out of your pay.

You earn per 1,000 views

A "placement" is one creator running one brand's ad for one campaign. You earn GH₵60 for every 1,000 views that placement delivers — so a clip that does 20,000 views earns you GH₵1,200. The brand pays GH₵85 per 1,000 views and ClipAd keeps the difference (GH₵25) from the brand side, so you keep about 70% of what the brand pays.

Your tier sets the cap, not the rate

Everyone earns at the same GH₵60 per 1,000 views. What your recent-30-day view tier decides is the cap — the most views a single placement can bill — so a brand's cost per creator stays predictable:

  • Spark (1,000–10,000 monthly views) — billed up to 10,000 views per placement.
  • Rise (10,000–50,000) — billed up to 50,000 views per placement.
  • Pro (50,000–250,000) — billed up to 250,000 views per placement.
  • Elite (250,000+) — billed against your measured views, with a high ceiling.

No fees, ever

Creators join free and keep their full rate — there's nothing deducted from your side. ClipAd takes its cut from the brand, not from you: of every cedi a brand spends on delivered views, about 70 pesewas reach the creator. Run more placements that deliver more views to earn more.

You're paid monthly to Mobile Money — see Getting paid. To start earning you need at least 1,000 views in the last 30 days; the details are in Eligibility: earn from 1,000 views.
