What is a placement?

Placements & rates2 min read

A placement is a brand paying you to feature it in your content for one campaign. It's the basic unit of monetization on ClipAd: a real creator, an approved brand, and the views it delivers equal earnings.

How a placement comes to life

  1. You approve your clips, building the inventory brands can see.
  2. A brand is matched to you — through a campaign you applied to or a collab you accepted.
  3. The brand books a placement with you for the campaign.
  4. You approve the brand, and it runs in your content. Once it's published and verified, your earning — GH₵60 per 1,000 views it delivers, up to your tier cap — is added to your balance.

What you control

Everything that matters. You decide which brands you accept and whether each placement is a fit. You earn the same GH₵60 per 1,000 views as everyone, so there's no pricing to manage. No brand ever runs in your content without your approval — see Approve or decline a brand's campaign.

You also control which of your clips brands appear alongside. How that works, and when to use it, is covered in Where brands appear in your content.
