Start your first edit

Add a video, trim it, and export it.

Before you start: you need at least one video in your Library.

Steps

1. Open the editor.
   • A new edit opens by itself. It is named "Untitled edit".
2. Click the name at the top of the page to rename the edit. Press Enter to save.
3. In the left sidebar, find your Clips or videos. Click one to add it to the timeline.
4. Press play to watch it.
5. Trim or split the clip (see Guide 2).
6. Click Export at the top right.
7. Wait for the video to finish. When it is ready, you can watch it in the preview.

Good to know

• Your work saves by itself. You do not need to press Save.
• Your edits are listed in the Edits section of the sidebar.
• If you open the editor and close it without adding anything, the empty edit is deleted. This keeps your list clean.

Common questions

• Where did my edit go? Look in the Edits list in the sidebar.
• Can I undo? Yes. Press Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Cmd+Z (Mac). Add Shift to redo.
