Can I merge, split, or reorder clips?

Uploads & AI clips2 min read

A few creators ask whether they can merge two clips, split one in two, or drag clips into a new order by hand. Here's the honest answer for the dashboard today — and the simplest ways to get the cut you want.

What you control today

Your controls over the AI's cut are Approve, Reject, and Delete. You curate the proposed clips down to the ones worth featuring, and the clips you approve become your inventory. Detection also sets the clip order for you, so there's no manual reordering step to manage.

If a clip is the wrong length

  • Too long, or two moments in one — reject it and lean on the stronger clips detection found nearby. If the moment really matters, trim it in your source and re-upload so it stands on its own.
  • Split across two clips — approve whichever one captures the moment best. For a single seamless clip, trim that section in your source and re-upload it.

Want a different set?

Open the video's menu and click Re-detect clips for a fresh pass — it keeps every clip you've already approved. Finer editing controls like hand-merging and splitting are on the roadmap, but they aren't in the dashboard yet. To capture a specific moment the AI skipped, see What if AI misses a clip you wanted?.
